328 / DOSE OF FIERCE: ALL TARA LYNN EVERYTHING
I recently realized that my Tara Lynn tag was looking a little empty so I wanted to feature her for this week’s Dose of Fierce. She recently shot the Spring/Summer campaign for Plié, a Brazilian brand, which is where these behind-the-scenes came from. She also nabbed a beauty editorial for InStyle UK and then there’s the amazing 12+ page editorial (and cover!) in French Elle this past summer. Enjoy!

326 / DOSE OF FIERCE: HAYLEY MORLEY FOR FASTER BY MARK FAST
This week’s Dose of Fierce is none other than Hayley Morley. Many people will instantly recognize her as one of the models of ASOS Curve but it honestly does her no favors as 1) The clothes are never pinned correctly and 2) I don’t think (as of now) runway/catwalk is one of her strong suits. Some may remember last September, she and a few other plus models walked in the Mark Fast Spring 2010 show, which caused such an uproar that one of his stylist walked out in protest of their inclusion. Well earlier this year Hayley was selected to participate in the new campaign for Mark’s second line Faster by Mark Fast alongside Anouck Lepere. Now this is what body diversity should look like in the fashion industry. There’s no need for “special” issues, there’s no witty copy about how “curves are in” or any of that nonsense. It’s just straightforward fashion and I love that. Magazines and designers don’t need to make statements and give interviews, if you support diversity then just do it. Actions speak louder than words, right?

This week’s Dose of Fierce post features Rosie Mercado, the 2010 Face of Full Figured Fashion Week™. She is absolutely gorgeous and the makeup in every picture is flawless! I’m hoping I get a chance to meet her at FFFWeek™ so I can get some makeup tips!

268 / DOSE OF FIERCE: BETH DITTO SHATTERING THE MYTHS
I’ve done countless posts featuring the super fierce Beth Ditto but I especially wanted to post her this week because there’s been a lot of talk recently about dressing for your body type/shape and such. Now one of the things that I love the most about Beth is her fearlessness. She will wear (or not wear) anything you could think of and make it look so amazing. Bodycon? check. Sleeveless? check. Horizontal stripes? check. Oversized? check. Shapeless? check. There is really no limit to her fashion arsenal and it makes me smile because she is unashamed about her body, how it looks in certain clothes and it instantly deads all those myths about what looks good on plus size women. Its absolutely inspiring and I love it! The thing that looks good on all women (plus or not) is confidence so continued kudos to you Beth (and uh, send over your stylist’s contact info. I need both black and white dresses)!

(FYI, posting has slowed down this week due to the snowpocalyspe that has currently shut down much of the northeast US. There is a great Valentine’s Day posting coming tomorrow though!)
As the kickoff to New York Fashion Week gets closer and my anticipation builds, I figured for this week’s ‘Dose of Fierce’ I’d post images of plus models working it on the runway!
