345 / ESHAKTI LOVE

While procrastinating on the internet last week, I found myself on Eshakti’s website and absolutely dying over a few pieces. I’ve mentioned them before on the blog but it’s been a while since I’ve checked out what they have to offer. It seems that everyone is raving and loving ASOS Curve these days (myself included) and I know I totally forget to check out some of my other favorite retailers sometimes, so I wanted to dedicate a post to some of them. Not only does Eshakti have reasonable prices (I think the most expensive item above is $79.99) but in my experience, customer service has always been great and shipping has as well.

One of the best things about Eshakti in my opinion is the option of customization, which I believe is $15. Since I’m still loving the longer length skirts these days, I don’t have to worry about if the maxi dress/skirt will truly be maxi on me or if it will stop above my ankles. I’m supposed to be saving money but we’ll see how that goes because both maxi dresses, the black top and the scallop hem shift dress need to be mine ASAP so I’m sure I’ll be placing an order sometimes this week. I’ll be sure to do a post about them when they arrive.

Also if you sign up for their newsletter, they’ll send you a $20 gift certificate so be sure to check that out.

228 / OOTD: BALTIMORE DAY TRIPS

Photobucket

If you follow me on twitter, you may have seen me tweeting about my (amusing) day trip to Baltimore to visit family yesterday. Since the weather is steadily creeping up to the high 80s, I decided it would be a perfect day to debut my Eshakti mesh dress. I tried to get some close-up photos to show that it is indeed fully mesh, the only sort of coverage comes from their tiers of mesh fabric. You have to wear black undergarments or else it will definitely show through the fabric. I didn’t wear anything extra fancy underneath just a regular black bra and boyshorts so I didn’t have to worry about anything peeking/showing. The mesh fabric provides enough ventilation so the fact that I wore additional layers didn’t matter. The dress is actually a bit big on me which is why I have to wear it belted until I go to get altered. This will be a summertime wardrobe staple, for sure!

202 / ESHAKTI’S NEW NAUTICAL COLLECTION

While we’re in the mood to discuss Spring collections, Eshakti just released a new Nautical mini-collection full of super cute and flirty dresses and accessories. Eshakti is a clothing company based in India that designs clothing for sizes 0-26W, which can be custom fit to the customer’s measurements and preferences. The price range is comparable to that of Torrid. Most dresses and skirts I saw were in the $40 – $50 range, which I think is great especially for a custom made garment.

I’m not much of a nautical fan but when I saw some of the dresses pictured below, I thought they were fun and easy-to-wear pieces to complete any Spring wardrobe. As I’m not much a fan of color, my friends have been trying to get me into everything colorful lately! I will admit, I’m starting to come around just a teeny tiny bit. Those two origami-like ruffled skirts are at the top of my list!

Take a look at the site and let me know what you think! Any favorite pieces? Does anyone have any experience with shopping at Eshakti?

ps. US residents can get a $15 off coupon when you register at their site!
